Girls Incorporated of Lynn seeks Strong, Smart and Bold individuals to join our Middle School Program Staff Team. Part-time positions are available working with middle school girls providing academic support and structured enrichment programs.
Positions available are:
1. Hermanas Program Specialist for the Hermanas After School Program for sixth grade girls. Hermanas is held at two of the Middle Schools in Lynn for sixth grade girls with one day focusing on academics and one day devoted to structured enrichment programming. Program hours: 2:00-5:00 p.m., 15hrs/week, Monday-Thursday. Rate: $15/hr., accruable earned time and paid holidays. School year position. Gain valuable experience working with youth.
2. Odyssey Program Specialist for the Odyssey after school program. Odyssey is held at Girls Inc. for girls in 7th and 8th grade. Transportation is provided for all participants. Each afternoon includes academic support, structured enrichment programming and informal time activities. Hours: 1:00-7:00 p.m., 25hrs/wk., Monday-Thursday. Rate: $15/hr., accruable earned time and paid holidays. Learn and practice curriculum development skills.
3. Academic and Career Coordinator to oversee the academic component of the Odyssey after school program. Plan and implement daily academic workshops, develop individual academic plans for participants, create an incentive and recognition program for academics and assist in all other components of Odyssey, including program transportation. Hours: 1:00-7:00 p.m., 25hrs/wk., Monday-Thursday. Rate: $16/hr., accruable earned time and paid holidays. Great opportunity for future educators and social service workers!
